Who We Are
MMOA-2 manages the assignments and career progression for all Active Component unrestricted and restricted aviation officers. Our monitors serve as the primary career counselors and assignment advocates for the pilots, naval flight officers, and aviation ground support officers who make up the Aviation Combat Element (ACE).
The role of your monitor
The monitors role is to translate the needs of the Marine Corps into personal and professional development opportunities for the officers they manage.
You are required to coordinate with your monitor during your transition window to discuss your career path, future assignments, and to ensure any application for a competitive program aligns with your timeline, flight currency, and the needs of the service.
