The 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Eric M. Smith, reenlists Staff Sgt. Maricruz G. Paz, an administrative specialist with the Wounded Warrior Regiment, during a visit to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Oct. 31, 2024. The Commandant’s visit recognized the overwhelming success of the Marine Corps’ recruitment and retention efforts, and the instrumental role Manpower and Reserve Affairs and Marine Corps Recruiting Command played in recruiting and retaining high-caliber Marines.
