Sgt. Maj. Brian R. Drechsler
Senior Enlisted Advisor, Manpower Management
Sergeant Major Drechsler, a native of Everett, Washington, enlisted in the Marine Corps in February 1999. He has been serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Manpower Management Division since June 2025.

Throughout his career, Sergeant Major Drechsler has served in numerous billets such as, Records NCO with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, Okinawa, Japan; Section Leader with Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Base Hawaii; Platoon Sergeant with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA; Maintenance Chief with 7th Engineer Support Battalion, Camp Pendleton, CA; Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, Chief Drill Instructor, and Instructor Staff Drill Instructor School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA; First Sergeant of Airfield Operations Company and Support Company with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 373, Miramar, CA; Inspector and Instructor First Sergeant with Transportation Services Company; and Company First Sergeant with India and Lima Company 3d Battalion, 8th Marines.

Before his current position, he served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of 1st Battalion, 8th Marines; Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 466; Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific; and Marine Corps Logistics Command.

He deployed to Iraq during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM in 2004, Afghanistan during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in 2011, Africa with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis Response in 2015, BALTOPS in 2016, and served with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 7 in 2018. He has also completed Unit Deployment Programs in Okinawa, Japan while serving in the 2d Marine Division and the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing.

Sergeant Major Drechsler has completed several professional military education courses, including the First Sergeants Course, Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education Resident Course, Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Cornerstone, Slated Enlisted Leaders Orientation Course, and Keystone. He holds a bachelor's degree in organizational management from the University of Arizona Global Campus.

His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit (gold star in lieu of second award), Meritorious Service Medal (gold star in lieu of third award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of second award), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
