The Future Operations Section (FOPS) is responsible for representing Manpower Management Division (MM) in organizational change actions, working in close conjunction with Manpower Plans and Policy. This includes working groups pertaining to MOS changes and originations, policy writing, and other areas of interest which may impact the staffing and assignment of uniformed personnel. In addition, FOPS is responsible for managing the Directed Overstaff Process. Finally, FOPS is able to provide staffing data to support analysis done by M&RA internal and external entities. Submitting a Manpower Information Request is the proper mechanism to initiate a data call.
